Hello Troop 2,
Your SPL, and the Patrol Leader’s Council (PLC) have decided that we will be having a Troop 2 Halloween Party at our next Troop Meeting on Monday, October 26 beginning at 7 PM at First Baptist Church.
Please see the details below:
Halloween Costume Contest – All Scouts are allowed to wear a family friendly Halloween costume to the meeting. However, please do not bring any weapons with your costumes such as guns, swords, throwing stars, etc. If Scouts do bring these items, he will be asked to remove those items and place them in his parent’s cars. Please make sure all costumes are family friendly. If you have any doubts, I suggest avoiding wearing that costume on Monday night. Scouts should be able to see, hear and sit down comfortably in their costumes. There will be a contest to pick the best costumes and your SPL will have prizes for the winners. If a Scout does not wear a costume, he should wear his full Class A uniform to the meeting.
Patrol Pumpkin Carving Contest – Each patrol will be given a set amount of time to carve and decorate a pumpkin during the meeting. Please bring your own pumpkin carving tools but no power tools. Each patrol should work together to make their scariest pumpkin.
Halloween Games – Your SPL and PLC will have some fun Halloween games for all Scouts to participate in.
Trick or Treating – Each patrol will be given a chance to do some unique trick or treating at the Troop meeting.
If you plan to participate in a Scoutmaster conference or a Board of Review on Monday, please be sure to wear your full Class A uniform.
