Please find important information below about a fun and exciting long weekend trip in November!!!

Winchester Mystery House and Camping in the Redwoods Valley Outing (see attached flyer)

  • When: Friday, Nov 17 to Monday, Nov 20
    • Departure Option 1: Friday, Nov. 17: Depart 1st Baptist at 5:30 PM (arrive at ~1:30 AM)
    • Departure Option 2: Saturday, Nov. 18: Depart 1st Baptist at 2 AM (arrive at ~10 AM)
    • Return: Monday, Nov. 20: Arrive back at 1st Baptist at ~2:30 PM (subject to change)
  • Who: Scouts and Adult Leaders
  • Where: Camp at Little Basin State Park (21700 Little Basin Road, Boulder Creek, CA 95066) and Winchester Mystery House (525 S. Winchester Blvd., San Jose, CA 95128)
  • Why:  Tour the Winchester Mystery House and 110 rooms and see the bizarre features; a window built into the floor, stairs leading to ceilings, doors that open onto blank walls and more! Enjoy camping and exploring the majestic redwood forest at Little Basin State Park over a long holiday weekend.  Three days of camping plus museum activities!!!
  • Cost:  $70 – Scouts; $86 – Adults (amounts payable to Troop 2)
    • $25 payable to your patrol Grubmaster for food for this event
    • $20 for Scouts to pay for Friday night dinner and Monday lunch on the road.
  • DEADLINE TO SIGN-UP AND PAY FOR THIS EVENT: Monday, November 6  (no late signups allowed)
Look for the sign-up sheet and flyer at the activities table.  This is a new location that Troop 2 has never been to so it should be a great outing for all Scouts to attend!!!
